During this session you will share regional and local impacts of climate change on agriculture. Specifically, you will focus on the vegetable and small fruit sector. The presentation includes opportunities for discussion and incorporates some optional short video breaks. Sharing of participant observations and experiences on their own farms will be also be a significant component of this session.

During this session, you will learn about how different agricultural practice effect greenhouse gas emissions, and the state of the current science on mitigation. The presentation is designed to include group discussion, including a focus on both reducing emissions and sequestering carbon. Suggestions for facilitation are included in these teaching notes.

Integrating Climate Change Into Your Work
During this session, you will hear about options for outreach/demonstration activities. The requirements of the Fellowship program activity are flexible so that you can select an activity suited to the need of the farm you or your group is working on. The activities can also be chosen based on the amount of time you can devote to the project. By the end of the session, you will choose one or more activities to complete, and develop a timeline for carrying out the activities.
